Charlotte A. (Godfrey) Bahn

Windsor—Charlotte A. (Godfrey) Bahn, 89, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Allen P. Bahn. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 AM, Monday, December 14, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul W. Bentzel and Pastor Thomas R. Lauer of New Fairview Church of the Brethren. A visitation will be held from 9-10 AM, Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Pleasant View Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Born August 17, 1926 in York, she was a daughter of the late Norman P. and Marie L. (Floyd) Godfrey and step daughter of the late Irene N. (Waughtel) Godfrey. She was a dedicated and caring homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A great cook, she always enjoyed preparing her grandchildren’s favorite meals. A member of New Fairview Church of the Brethren, she was also a former member of Pleasant View Brethren Church, where she was Director of the Cradle Roll for 40 years and taught Sunday School. Mrs. Bahn is survived by two daughters, Susan M. Bahn and Diane S. Howard both of Windsor; seven grandchildren, Jonathan and Jake Bahn, Laura White, Becki Buser, David Arnold, Abby Schrum and Alex Howard; seven great grandchildren with another little blessing soon to arrive; two brothers, Richard and James Godfrey; two sisters, Mary Arnold and Violet Harrison and daughter-in-law, Glenese S. Bahn. She was preceded in death by her son, Lee A. Bahn. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Olivia’s House, 830 S. George Street, York, Pa 17403 or SPCA, 3159 N.
