Charles W. Rearich

YORK- Charles W. Rearich, 49, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2016 to be with his savior Jesus Christ. Born on January 9, 1967 in York, he was the 8th of 9 children born to the late John “Phil” and Dorothy “Jane” (Shearer) Rearich. He was named for his uncle Charles L. Rearich of Mt. Wolf and his late grandfather, Warren Shearer. Charles was a 1986 graduate of VoTech. He had been an employee of Graham Container for many years and most recently was a truck driver for L&H Trucking. He was a member of the York Model Railroad Club, Paradise Holtzschwamm E.C.C. and a former member of St. James Lutheran Church, West York. Chuck was devoted to his family, friends and church. He was faced with health issues and personal challenges, but would always ask how you were doing and to have a nice day. His interests included model trains, hanging out at Latuccas in West York, Baltimore Orioles, NASCAR and anything George Jones. Charles like practical jokes and used the expression “just sayin” frequently. Charles is survived by his daughter, Rosa Jane Rearich and son Jesse Laverne Rearich, both of Glenville; brothers and sisters, Deborah Firebaugh of York, Steven Rearich of Thomasville, Roberta Rishel of Dover, Scott Rearich of York, Barbara Glick of Smoketown, Laura Glick of Smoketown, Timothy Rearich of Las Vegas, and John Rearich, II of New Freedom; special cousin, Bill Sprenkle of Seven Valleys; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and the mother of his children, Shelly. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Paradise Holtzschwamm E.C.C., 6777 Lincoln Highway, Thomasville, PA 17364 with Pastor Paul Guiliano officiating. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.
