Charles T. Lease

LADY LAKE, FL - Charles T. "Charlie" Lease, 71, formerly of York, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, FL. He was the husband of Joyce Elaine (Good) Lease who died October 17, 1997. A service to celebrate Mr. Lease's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Mr. Lease was born March 7, 1937, in Ralphton, Somerset County. He was the son of the late Thomas J. and Ruby F. (McVicker) Lease. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and upon returning home accepted a position with the then, Naval Ordinance Plant in York. He continued working with the NOP, later AMF Harley Davidson, and in 1997, after 42 years of service, retired as a supervisor with Harley Davidson. He was a member of the NOP Alumni Association and was a former member of the Hawks Club and the American Legion. Mr. Lease is survived by his son, Scott B. Lease of York; his two daughters, Deborah Lowery and husband, Harold of Red Lion and Kimberly A. Alvey and husband, Russell of Hilliard, FL; three grandchildren, Jamie Zieber, Jason Lowery and Corey Lease; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Allen W. Lease of Centre Hall; and two sisters, Lana Fink of Mt. Wolf and Ruth Knokey of Belleview, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to White Rose Hospice, 1412 Sixth Ave., York, PA 17403.
