YORK - Charles R. Kelley, Sr., 73, of Windsor Township, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Karen L. (Stultz) Kelley. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012, at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. The Reverend Harold “Butch” Snyder will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, with a Masonic Service at 8 p.m. and a viewing from 9-10 a.m. on Friday followed by the service and burial at Otterbein United Methodist Cemetery in York. Charlie was born in Salisbury, MD, on September 22, 1938, son of the late Charles O. and Valetta C. (Shindler) Kelley. He attended York High School and was a man of many interests and talents ranging from sales to farming. He previously worked for Lord Chemical Company and Coyne Cylinder Company. He was a Deputy Sheriff for the York County Sheriff's Department and a Supervisor for the York County Per Capita Tax Bureau. Over the past thirty plus years, he was the owner/operator of Fremor Orchards and Custom Machine in Windsor Township where he lived and also raised poultry for Tyson Foods. Some of his interests included antique cars, model trains, boating, hunting, motortrikes, RVing, collecting and the art of conversation. He was a member of Red Lion Lodge #649 Free and Accepted Masons, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine, York County Shrine Club, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Gold Wing Club, Train Collectors Association, and Baltimore Yacht Club. Charlie leaves a son, Charles R. “Chuck” Kelley, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Red Lion; a daughter, Melissa K. “Missy” Werner and her husband Bob of York; four grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, Nicholas, Ashley; his companion Vivian Dillen and her children, Michelle K. Dillen and the late William A. Dillen, III. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice, 912 South George Street, York, PA 17403.
