Charles M. Emswiler, Jr.

YORK- Charles M. Emswiler, Jr., 73, of Springettsbury Township, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Sandra E. (Adams) Emswiler. The couple would have been married 54 years on May 7, 2015. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 4-5 p.m. The Reverend James Ward will be officiating at the service. Mr. Emswiler was born in York on November 21, 1941, the son of Charles M. and Ruth T. (Klinedinst) Emswiler, Sr. He retired from the former Fincor Company in York, where he served as the Director of Human Resources. Mr. Emswiler was a member of the former York Valley Baptist Church. He was a 1960 graduate of Central High School and attended York Junior College. He was a 32° Mason and past Secretary of White Rose Masonic Lodge 706. He was a member of Hawk Gunning Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Historical Society of York. He was active in many York County Human Resources Clubs. Along with his wife, Mr. Emswiler leaves two sons, Scott L. Emswiler and his wife Cindy of Charlotte, NC, and Christopher M. Emswiler and his wife Carol of York; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Yvonne A. Fox and her husband John of Potter County, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. A son, Chris E. Emswiler, a brother, Ronald L. Emswiler, Sr. and a nephew, Ronald L. Emswiler, Jr. had preceded him in death.
