SPRING GARDEN TOWNSHIP- Charles K. Rudisill, 73, of York, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of Carolyn N. (Little) Rudisill. The couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on August 7, 2010. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 9:30-11 a.m. Pastor Benjamin J. Woodring will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mr. Rudisill was born in Gettysburg on June 6, 1937, a son of the late Wilbur and Bessie (Aughinbaugh) Rudisill. He was the owner of Rudisills Auto Service, which operated four full service locations in the York area. He operated the original location on Mount Rose Ave. for 53 years. Mr. Rudisill was a member of Zion Bible Church in York. Along with his wife Mr. Rudisill leaves three sons, Charles K. Rudisill, Jr. of Red Lion and Ronald J. Rudisill and Scott A. Rudisill, both of York; two daughters, Kay E. Lamparter of Dover and Lynne M. Spangler of Mount Wolf; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six brothers, Albert, Leroy, Harold Sonny, Robert, Fred, Jim; and a sister, Betty Plitt. He was preceded in death by two brothers Don and Gene. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
