Dallastown—Charles J. “Junior” Dill, 84, died Friday, December 09, 2011 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Doris A. (Arnold) Dill. The couple celebrated 61 years of marriage on September 2, 2011. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. Edward J. Ross III of Springwood Chapel officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born January 15, 1927 in Windsor, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Dorothy S. (Anderson) Dill. He was employed with Precision Components as a welder for 32 years until his retirement in 1990. A member of the local International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, the National Rifle Assoc., Red Lion American Legion – Post 543, Hawks Gunning Club, Windsor Fish & Game Assoc., and Orbisonia Deer Camp, he was also a retiree of Felton’s Union Volunteer Fire Company – Station 43. In addition to his wife, Mr. Dill is also survived by three sons, Ronnie E. Dill and his wife, Sherry of Felton, Randy R. Dill of York and Charles “Jay” Dill of Santa Rosa, CA; one daughter, Sherry L. Smith and her husband, Ben of Felton, 9 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two sisters, Genevieve Taylor of York and Joan Grove of Red Lion and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association of Pa, 3001 Old Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill, Pa 17011 or American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, Pa 17603.
