YORK-Charles H. Yohe, 65, died Friday, January 15, 2010 at York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Diane E. (Scott) Yohe to whom he was married to for 43 years. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. Thomas B. Sawmiller and Rev. Patrick J. Cox officiating with full military honors provided for by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewings will be held 5-7:00 p.m.Tuesday, and 1-2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be private at the request of the family. Mr. Yohe was born October 11, 1944 in Red Lion a son of the late Charles H. Sr., and Luzella C. (Rosh) Yohe. He was a former employee of Caterpillar, Inc. until his retirement. He then worked for Ed Miller Ent. in Red Lion. Mr. Yohe was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of York. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving his country during Vietnam. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching all forms of dirt track auto racing. He was especially fond of the closeness of his family and took great pleasure in vacationing at numerous beaches and mountains with them. Mr. Yohe will be remembered by those close to him as a well liked, respected, and loving man. In addition to his wife, Diane, he is survived by a son, Shawn W. Yohe and wife, Mary D. of York; two daughters, Kelly J. Smith and husband, Steven M. of York, and Tamara L. Arnold and husband, Justin L. of Red Lion; six grandchildren, Brianna N. Smith, Calyssa M. Keiser, Brandon L. Arnold, Ashley E. Yohe, Amber L. Arnold, and Lauren M. Yohe; a sister Gilda Blymire of Windsor; two nieces; four nephews, and aunt and uncle Pauline and Clarence Yohe. He was preceded in death by a brother Tyrone Yohe.
