Troy, PA Charles F. Bristol age 72 of Granville Summit, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family to join his beloved wife Louise. He was born January 10, 1937 at Armenia Mountain, PA next to the church they now call Olde Covert Church. He was the son of the late Merle and Susan (Springer) Bristol He and the former Louise B. Perry were married February 9, 1957. Charles was a hard workingman having been employed by Case Sawmill, the Stocking Factory, Troy Engine and Ajax Machine Shop in Sayre, PA, he worked 20 years at Swayze Folding Box until they closed their doors. Charles also worked at Milky Way Farms for 10 years following that he retired. He enjoyed the outdoors riding his 4 wheeler, snowmobile, making apple cider with his own cider press; his press is currently owned and used by the East Canton Apple & Cheese Festival. Charles liked his new Ford Truck, camping, spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed doing things for others. Charles was a member of the Armenia Mountain Snowmobile Club, Survivors include his son, David Bristol at home, three daughters, Judy Bristol at home, Linda & Earl Scott of Troy, PA and Lois Bryant and fianc裠Dave Wolf of Standing Stone, PA, grandchildren Michelle, Cindy, Charley, Linda and Raymond, great-grandchildren, Alexa, Addison Louise and Cayden, a sister, Madeline Sjoblom of Troy, PA, two brothers, Merle V. Bristol of Eatonville, WA, Donald Bristol of Highland CA, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Louise B. Perry on April 5, 2003, twin sons, Ronald and Donald Bristol, sons, Charles Jr and Leroy Bristol, two brothers, Robert F. Bristol on July 5, 1999 and James E. Bristol in October 2003. Family and friends are invited to call from 7 to 8 PM Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. His service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 8 PM with Reverend Ken Marple officiating. Committal and interment will be held 10 AM on Monday, March 23, 2009 in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, PA.
