New Park Charles Elmer "Dick" Warner, 83, of East Hopewell Twp., died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at his home. He was the husband of Mabel A. (Workinger) Warner with whom he celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2006. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2007, at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2335 Cramer Road, Brogue, with his pastor, the Rev. Guy C. Carter, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Warner was born December 15, 1923, in Chanceford Twp. He was the son of the late Daniel Porter and Marian Elizabeth (Montgomery) Warner. He was a self-employed farmer, operating his farm in East Hopewell Township for 55 years. He was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church and was an avid hunter. In addition to his wife, Mr. Warner leaves three daughters, Jane Grove and husband, Barry of Felton, Linda Stern and husband, Richard of Felton, and Amy Grove and husband, Max of New Park; seven grandchildren, Eric, John, Sara, and Ashley Grove, Kate Stine, and Leslie and Emily Stern; and three great-grandchildren. The youngest of eight children, he was preceded in death by his six brothers and one sister. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 2335 Cramer Road, Brogue, PA 17309; or to VNA Hospice, 218 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.
