Charles A. Rinaldo, Sr.

Charles A. Rinaldo, Sr. Charles A. Rinaldo, Sr., 81, of Pottsville, passed away Monday morning at Manor Care, Pottsville. Born in Minersville on August 14, 1927, he was a son of the late John and Ruth Kerschner Rinaldo. He was 1946 graduate of Minersville. Following graduation,he joined the United States Army. He retired from the former Cadillac Cable in 1993 where he worked for over 20 years. Charles was a member of the former St Joseph's Church,Potsville, where he was a member of the Choir. He was most recently a member of St. Patrick's Church, Pottsville. He was a member of the Plaza Lanes Senior Bowling League, Schuylkill County Woodcarver's Association, he was an equipment manager for the Pottsville Area High School Football Team and he assisted his son with the Pottsville Area High School Girls Softball Team. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine A. Carestia Rinaldo, who passed away in 2004; his stepdaughter, Mary Catherine Neithamer. He is survived by his son, Charles "Chuck" A. Rinaldo, Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Pottsville; his two grandchildren, Regina and Maria Rinaldo; his brother, Jay Rinaldo, of Minersville; several nieces and nephews; uncles; cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. in St. Patrick's Church, Pottsville. The Reverend Edward B. Connolly will officiate. Friends may call on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday morning from 8:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville. Memorial contributions can be made to the Charles A.
