Charlean M. (Dennis) Mingora

York-Charlean M. (Dennis) Mingora, 73, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of John P. Mingora Sr., with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage on December 31st. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Saturday, April 9, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 950 W. Market Street, York, with Fr. Samuel E. Houser officiating. A visitation will be held from 9-11 am, Saturday, at the church. Burial will be held in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born November 14, 1937 in York, she was a daughter of the late Blaine R. and Myrtle B. (Cunningham) Dennis. A 1955 graduate of York High School where she was also a member of the reunion committee for the class of 1955 since its inception, as well as a York High Marching Band alumni. She was also a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church since 1958. She was employed with GTE Telephone Company as a long distance telephone operator for 30 years and for the past 15 years with Heffner Funeral Homes, Inc., as a phone secretary. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mingora is also survived by one son, John Mingora Jr., and his wife, Jennifer of York, three daughters, Victoria Lankford and her husband, Scott of York, Cynthia Sipe and her husband, Todd of Dover and Andrea Markham and her husband, Robert of Cumming, GA, six grandchildren, Valerie, Kristin, Aime, Nathan, Laura and Cara, four great grandchildren, Autumn, Andrew, Everett and Adelaide, one sister, Judith Striebig and her husband Donald of Dagsboro DE, sister-in-law, Catherine Herrington and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Rodney Lau, Donald Lau, Jackie Lau and Robert Myers.
