Cecelia C. Manzo

Cecilia C. Manzo, resident of Rest haven, formerly of Pottsville, passed away Thursday morning, October 23, 2008, at the Schuylkill Medical Center, East Nowegian St., Pottsville. Born in Minersville on November 21, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Concetta Solimine Spina. Cecelia attended Minersville schools. She retired from the former Philips and Jones Garment Company. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Church in Pottsville and is currently a member of St. Patrick's Church in Pottsville. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Manzo, who passed October 11, 2002; her brother, Alfredo Spina; her three sisters, Anna Tarantino, Louise Theobald and Helen Spina. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Underwood, Pottsville; her granddaughter, Sandra Kehler; her great grandsons, Travis Lee Block, Jr. and Athan Antonio Block and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church, Pottsville. Friends may call on Monday morning from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville.
