Cathryn A. Wolfe

LOCK HAVEN - Cathryn A. (Reeder) Wolfe, 78, of McElhattan passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Lock Haven Hospital Emergency Room. She was born February 1, 1940 in Swissdale a daughter of Fred and Cathryn (Helbley) Reeder Cathryn married William J. Wolfe on March 19, 1971. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2005. She worked for Reeder’s Meat Market, George Reeder’s Market, Brodart and Crissman’s Meat Market. Cathryn loved to make quilts, crafts and enjoyed canning and baking. She attended the one-room school house in Swissdale and received her GED. She is a member of Charlton Chapel. She was a member of the Lock Haven Assembly of God Church, was vice-president and secretary-treasurer of the Women’s Ministries, Sunday School secretary, Sunday School teacher, was in charge of the kitchen for special dinners, made quilts, and was in charge of making Christmas candy. Surviving are Daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Bryan Poorman, Woolrich and also a daughter Bonnie Reeder of Georgia. One grandson, William Reeder of Georgia and two great granddaughters. Also surviving are two sisters, Minnie Peters of Beech Creek and Mae Johnson of McElhattan and three brothers, John Reeder of McElhattan, Roy Reeder of Swissdale, and Don Reeder, Swissdale. Predeceased by three brothers George Reeder, Ward Reeder, and Jesse Reeder She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with the Rev. Bryon Reynolds officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Swissdale Cemetery.
