Catherine M. Workinger

BROGUE--Catherine M. (Posey) Workinger, 94, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at her residence in Chanceford Township. She was the wife of the late George M. Workinger Jr.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Larry Parlett. A visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in New Harmony Presbyterian Cemetery.

Born February 11, 1930, in High Rock, she was the daughter of the late Mordecai A. and Daisy M. (Urey) Posey.

A loving and dedicated homemaker to her husband and family, she enjoyed needle work and would always embroider pillowcases and bibs for family and friends. She was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church, Farm Women – Chapter #12, Pleasant Acres Ladies Auxiliary and Brogue Ambulance Club. She formerly attended New Harmony Presbyterian Church where she was a member for 68 years.

Mrs. Workinger is survived by son Ricky L. Workinger and his wife, Sueann; two daughters, Judy K. Burchett and her husband, Bob, and Nancy L. Yost and her husband, James; her daughter-in-law, April R. Workinger, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Edward E. Workinger; one granddaughter, Barbara A. Druck and four siblings.
