Catherine M. Richter

POTTSVILLE - Catherine M. Richter, 90, lifelong resident of Pottsville, passed away Friday morning at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, where she had been in hospice care for 10 days. Born in Pottsville, on May 29, 1918, she was the daughter of the late George and Getrude Faust Schaeffer. She was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Church, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Richter, who passed away October 23, 1996; her sister, Dorothy Schaeffer; her two brothers, Charles and Vincent Schaeffer. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Mushock, of Pottsville; her grandson, John Mushock, of Pottsville; several nieces and nephews; cousins; she was the last member of her immediate family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville. The Deacon Jack Quirk will officiate.
