MILTON - Catherine M. (Hoey) Holmes, 97, of Milton, and a longtime resident of the Milton towers, died on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Kramm Health Care Center, Milton. Catherine was born in Sunbury on February 17, 1913 and was the daughter of the late Roy and Edna (Kratzer) Hoey. She was a former employee of Chef Boyardee and Phillips and former member of the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. Catherine is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Eva M. and Glenn Berger of Lewisburg, four grandchildren; Rosenna M. Delsite and her husband Donald of Milton, Linda J. Stover of McEwensville, Cathy I. Neary and her husband Tim of Shamokin and Jenette L. Emery and her husband Carl of Mifflinburg, 12 great grandchildren; Donald Delsite and companion Jen Noll, Dane Delsite and wife Bonney, Dannie Delsite and wife Cora, Doug Delsite and wife Carry, Dustin Baker and husband Ryan, Linley Stover, Lisa Orth and husband Peter, Ashley Stover and companion Triston, David Scholl, Andy Emery and wife Katrina, Laura Emery and companion Trever and Fred Emery and companion Bethney, 12 great-great grandchildren; Preston, Maverick, Damian, Dolton, Contessa, Taneshia and Selena Delsite, Dylon and Cody Baker, Jason Scholl and Paige and Emma Jane Emery, five step great-great grandchildren; Andrew and Jeremy Snyder and Kyle, Tylor and Bryan Jeremiah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers; Harry, Henry, Roy and Clair Hoey, two sisters; Isabel Laudenslager and Ruth Prount and two great-great grandchildren; Courtney Rose and Colton Delsite. There will be a public viewing 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with pastor Albert Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Whitesprings Church, 275 Emery Road, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
