Catherine Louise (Wold) Edwards

YORK – Catherine Louise (Wold) Edwards, 59, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Billy G. “Bill” Edwards to whom she was married for 28 years. A private tribute service was held at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Public tribute services will be held at a later date. Born March 21, 1955 in Belleville, IL a daughter of the late Donald A. and Mary L. (Gilliam) Wold, she was a 1973 graduate of Eisenhower High School in Rialto, CA and graduated from Wichita State University with her degree in Social Work in 1997. Catherine was dedicated to her family and supported local animal shelters and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Edwards is survived by a son, Ian P. Edwards and future daughter in law, Rachel Shope of Wichita, KS; three brothers and three sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17111 or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
