MILTON - Catherine L. “Kate” (Lupo) Neitz, 93, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Geisinger Home Health & Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville. She was born in Albion, NY to the late Vincenzo and Caterina (LaBarberi) Lupo who immigrated to the united states from Palermo, Italy, in the late 1800s. Kate moved to Milton as a young girl and attended Milton schools. In addition to her parents, Kate was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert M. Neitz, Sr., five brothers; Tony, Andrew, Gasper, Joseph and Gerald, four sisters; Mary, Jennie, Rose and Dolly along with one brother and three sisters who died during childhood. Kate is survived by her four children; Robert (Lucy) Neitz, Jr., Peggy (Bud) Harris all of Florida, Tom (Inez) Neitz and Jim (Lori) Neitz all of Milton, six grandchildren; Robert III and Jason Neitz, Terri Seibert, Adam, Jesse and Amy Neitz and three great grandchildren; Drew and Brooke Seibert and Sofia Neitz. Kate’s greatest joy was her family (children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews) taking great delight in cooking and spending endless hours in her kitchen sharing meals, love, joy and happiness with all of her family. She also enjoyed many bus trips touring the country with her husband during their retirement years. Kate was a very active and devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Milton and was one of the church’s longest held parishioners. She belonged to the Parish Council of Catholic Women, working countless hours at the Friday evening fish dinners, preparing funeral luncheons for other parishioners and doing whatever she was asked to do. She was also a former member of the Milton Women’s Club and local and national AARP organizations and had volunteered at the local Hands Up Good Bank and the Red Cross Blood Mobile. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church 109 Broadway Street, Milton, PA 17847 or to Geisinger Home Health & Hospice at Maria Hall, 410 Glenn Ave., Suite 200, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 10:00 – 12:00p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by a memorial mass at 12:30p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Broadway Street, Milton. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Milton.
