Catherine Kitty M. Keifer

Catherine M. "Kitty" Keifer Pottsville-Catherine M. "Kitty" 92, of Pottsville, passed away Friday at the Pottsville Hospital. Born in Pottsville on February 6, 1915 she was the daughter of the late Albert and Florence Lord Haag. She retired in 1976 from the former Jacob Boltz Knitting Mill, Pottsville. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest C. Keifer, who died in 1988; her two brothers, Albert and George Haag. She is survived by her son, Ernest Keifer, and his former wife Mary Ann Keifer, of Pottsville; her Grandson, Gary Keifer, of Pottsville; her brother, Robert Haag, of Pottsville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00 A.M. from the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville. The Rev. Liddy Bileck will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Interment will be held in Mount Laurel Cemetery, Pottsville.
