Catherine Jean Boyer

RED LION – Catherine Jean Boyer, 48, passed away December 25, 2021 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Charles A. Kurshan, to whom she was married for 25 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held January 7, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion with Pastor Tom McKee officiating. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The family asks that all in attendance wear a mask. Born May 18, 1973 in York, she was a daughter of Barry Boyer and the late Jean (Hineline) Boyer. While in high school, Mrs. Boyer was a member of the band and played the bells and clarinet. After graduating from West York high school, Mrs. Boyer attended York College. While she was there, she enjoyed participating in singing, dancing, and acting with different clubs and even had the opportunity to travel internationally to perform. Catherine enjoyed her time over the years working as a Customer Service Manager with New Standard, Image First, and Multi-Color Corp. In her free time, Mrs. Boyer enjoyed reading, playing video games, watching videos about makeup, crocheting, knitting, and being with her dog, Simba. Mrs. Boyer leaves behind her husband, Charles A. Kurshan; a daughter, Emma Kurshan; a sister, Elizabeth Albers and her husband Timothy, two nephews, Wyatt Boyer and Eric Albers, and a niece, Rebecca Albers.
