Catherine F. Klem

Catherine F. Klem Catherine F. Klem, 95, of Pottsville, went to be with the lord with her daughter by her side at her residence on Thursday morning. Born in Pottsville on July 7, 1911 she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Bertha Pfeffer Long. She was a 1929 graduate of Pottsville High School. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Klem, who died March 2, 2000; her sister, Edith Long, who died in 1972. Catherine is survived by her daughter, Sue Louise Klem, Pottsville. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville. The Rev David J. Loeper will officiate. Friends may call on Monday morning at the church from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass. Interment will be held in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville. Memorial contributions can be made to St. John the Baptist Church, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901. The Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville is in charge of arrangements.
