Catherine A. Gleim

York – Catherine A. “Cathy” (Mowery) Gleim, a loving wife, mother, sister and Mamaw, 79, died on Sunday, November 12, 2023 in hospice care. She was the loving wife of the late Michael L. Gleim.

Born on October 25, 1944 in Columbus, OH, she was a daughter of the late Don and Ann (Mount) Mowery. One of 7 children, Cathy was preceded in death by brothers Ed and Don; survived by Lynne (Edwards), Tom, Greg and Anell (Haque).

Mrs. Gleim was very involved in the community with her husband. She was an avid Ohio State fan, loved boating, crafting, painting and stuffed animals. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends. Most importantly, Cathy loved her family and friends.

Catherine is survived by her son, Timothy S. Gleim and his wife, Meg of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Christina Little of York; five grandchildren: Vanessa, Maeghan, Ashley, Connor and Cate; six great grandchildren and 9 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Todd Gleim.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held on December 9, with a visitation from 1-2 and a service at 2:00 p.m. at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Certified Celebrant Allison Duke will be officiating at the service.
