Catherine A. (Duffy) O'Reilly

POTTSVILLE - Catherine A. Duffy O'Reilly 94, of Pottsville died Thursday afternoon at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. O'Reilly was born April 13, 1914 in Coaldale, PA the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary Ann McGlynn Duffy. She graduated from Saint Mary's High School, Coaldale in 1932. Mrs. O'Reilly worked for the former WPA office and the former Pomeroy's, Pottsville. She was a member of Saint Patrick's Church, Pottsville. Mrs. O'Reilly is preceded in death by her husband Thomas B. O'Reilly, three sisters Anna Hoban, Mary Taylor, and Margaret Doerner, a brother USAF Col. Bernard Duffy. Surviving are three daughters Mary Ann, wife of Delroy Wolfe, Valley View, PA, Kathleen, wife of Hugh McGowan, Port Carbon, and Jane M. O'Reilly, Pottsville; five sons Bernard J., husband of Sang O'Reilly, Thomas B., William J., John A., husband of Linda O'Reilly, and Edward J., husband of Lesle O'Reilly all of Pottsville, a daughter in law Peggy Dewitt, Schuylkill Haven, fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 16, at Saint Patrick Church, Fourth & Mahantongo Streets, Pottsville. Family and friends may call at the church on Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00P.M. and on Monday from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. The Rev Robert Reiley officiating. Interment our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville.
