Harrisburg - Caryl M. (Hoffman) Bagley, 78 died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at her residence. She was born January 23, 1929 in Lock Haven the daughter of the late John Nelson & Blanche Ethel (Mauger) Hoffman. Caryl was married to Richard Z. "Dick" Bagley who died January 6, 2005. She assisted her husband with Bagley Public Relations in Harrisburg from 1980 - 2005. Caryl was a 1947 graduate of Lock Haven High School. She was a member of National Association of Credit Management, National Credit Women's Executive Committee where she served as past president. She also worked for Marine Midland Bank of Buffalo, New York and was a member of the Business Professional Women's Club of Buffalo and the Inter Club Council of Western New York. Caryl was a former member of the Flemington Church of Christ. She is survived by two nephews Steven Nelson Hoffman of Watervliet, New York and Glenn E. Hoffman of Lancaster, New York, three step-sons Jack T. Knight of Collingswood, NJ, Randall C. Knight of Tonawanda, NY and Richard Z. Bagley, Jr., of Harrisburg. Four step-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren and her caregivers Deborah Basham and her sister Tracy of Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by a brother Truman Nelson Hoffman in 1993. Memorial contributions can be made to the Flemington Church of Christ or the American Heart Association. There will be a visitation from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008. The memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. The Rev. Steve Salmon officiating. Online condolences can be sent to www.Bestlifetributes.com
