MILTON - Louise (Van Riper) Botto, 81, passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2011 at her residence. She was born January 14, 1930 in Sunbury a daughter of the late George E. and Katie Mae (Amey) Van Riper. She was married to James S. Botto who died July 14, 1977. Louise worked as an assistant library aide at White Deer Elementary School for 20 years. She was a former member of the Assembly of God, Milton and recently attended St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church. Louise enjoyed music and playing the piano. She played the piano at Christ Lutheran Church and also at Kramm’s. Louise also was a volunteer at the Salvation Army Thrift Shop. She was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed Penn State football fan. Surviving are three daughters Cynthia L. (Daniel) Hupp of Milton, Toni L. (Rodney) Metzger of Wabasso, FL and Nancy A. (Emil) Fischer of S. Williamsport. Seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren seven great-grandchildren and one step great-granddaughter. One brother Rev. George Van Riper of Washington, PA Four sisters Joyce Long of Lewisburg, Barbara Hollenbach of Northumberland, Cheryl Mitchell of New Cumberland, PA, Holly Garancosky of Meadow Lands, PA. A brother William preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton with the Rev. George Van Riper officiating. There will be a public viewing on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Milton Cemetery.
