Carolyn S. Ferguson

GETTYSBURG Carolyn S. (Nohe) Ferguson, 80, of Lake Heritage, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, January 19, 2019 at Country Meadows of York – West. She was the wife of Hubert R. Ferguson with whom she celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary on October 17th. A service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday., February 9, 2019 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Rev. Michael Fischer, chaplain of Country Meadows officiating. A visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Carolyn was born in Midland, Beaver County, PA on June 21, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ruth (Phaub) Nohe. She was employed in various retail sales positions over the years. She attended the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and was also a member of a quartet in Gettysburg. She loved and cared for animals and also found enjoyment in gardening. In addition to her husband, Carolyn leaves a son, Gregg Ferguson of Ohio; a daughter, Shari L. Burrier and husband, Eric of Lewisberry; three grandchildren, Joshua Burrier, Holly Ferguson and Alex Ferguson; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister and two brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to an SPCA organization of your choice.
