Carolyn Mae Zimmerman

MANCHESTER- Carolyn Mae (Jacobs) Zimmerman, 71, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Gary Jack Zimmerman. The couple celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on May 3, 2021. A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at North Hills Bible Church, 1951 North Hills Road in York, with a viewing from noon-1 p.m. at the church. Her pastor, The Reverend David E. Moss will be officiating at the service. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the service. Mrs. Zimmerman was born in Dillsburg on November 2, 1950, the daughter of the late George E. Jacobs and Helen Louise (Cochenaur) Brenneman. She did house cleaning for Lou and Jan Wilt at Stone Mill Tax Shop and also for Ken and Pearl Border at their business and also worked at Wendy’s in West York. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of North Hills Bible Church in York. Along with her husband Mrs. Zimmerman leaves two sons, Eugene Alan Zimmerman and his wife Christine of Manchester and Douglas Scott Zimmerman of Dover; four granddaughters, Abigail, Peyton, Chloe, and Miranda Zimmerman; two brothers, Donald E. Jacobs and Ralph L. Jacobs; and two sisters, Jean L. Crone and Pattie E. Huson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul E. Jacobs and a sister, Sally A. Reiser.
