Carolyn D. (Storms) Koons

DALLASTOWN- Carolyn D. (Storms) Koons, 87, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at her home. She was the wife of the late Ernest E. Koons, to whom she was married for 58 years until his passing in 2006. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Dallastown Union Cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born November 9, 1927 in York, Carolyn was a daughter of the late George Albert and Nellie Adel-Babylon Storms. She worked as an inventory control specialist for McCrory’s Distribution. Carolyn enjoyed spending summer weekends fishing in Ocean City for 30 years. She also found great joy in crocheting afghans and donating them to the Purple Heart. Mrs. Koons is survived by two sons, Bradley G. Koons and his wife Lana of Felton, and Jeffrey L. Koons and his fiancée Madrina of Jacobus; a daughter, Karen J. Koons of Felton; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Dolores Becker and her husband Mike of Thomasville, Phyllis Sier and her husband Gilbert of York and Darlene Haynes of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Storms, and George Storms, and a sister, Norma Myers.
