Felton—Carolyn D. (Jenkins) Smith, 60, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at her residence in North Hopewell Township. She was the wife of Noah D. Smith with whom she celebrated 41 years of marriage on August 3, 2009. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, on December 27, 1948, she was the daughter of late Burton D. and Mina (Richard) Jenkins. She was loved very much by her family for her caring heart. An outstanding homemaker, she worked at the Red Lion Cigar Factory and recently at Winterstown Elementary School. Mrs. Smith treasured her family, and in addition to her husband Noah, she is survived by three sons, Daniel D. Smith and Kathi L. Smith of Red Lion, Noah B. Smith and his wife, Tammy of Felton and Jarrett L. Smith and his companion, Aimee Leiphart of York, one daughter, Joyce M. Daryman and her husband, John of Felton, she cherished her relationship with her eight grandchildren, Dylan, Calvin, and Wyatt Daryman and Katie, Noah, Colton, Kadan and Roslyn Smith and is also survived by one brother, Daniel Jenkins and his wife, Sandy and many brother and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Jenkins, a brother, Duncan Jenkins and a niece Peggy Eaton and her husband Ronald. Her legacy to be left for her family is "to always love your family equally and know they are your first priority", if you live by that you cannot go wrong and children will always have their roots to make it through life. A celebration of life service will be held private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Ronald McDonald House, 635 Lexington St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
