Caroline E. Hanna, 91, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2018 at 3:30 PM. She was the wife of the late G. LeRoy Hanna to whom she was married for 42 years. Born July 27, 1926 in York, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Mary (Ferree) Hoffman. She and her husband “Roy” co-owned and operated Hanna Drycleaners in Red Lion for 40 years, retiring in 1984. Mrs. Hanna was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Red Lion where she was an active volunteer in Girl Scouts, Sunday School, Bible School and Youth Fellowship. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Red Lion. Caroline was an avid reader, volunteering at the Kaltreider-Benfer Library for many years. She and her family enjoyed boating, fishing, water sports and spent many happy hours on the Susquehanna River. In 2011 she moved to Brethren Village in Lititz and became an active member of the Brethren Village Chapel. Caroline is survived by two children; Linda L. Michael and husband J. Christopher Michael, and Roy L. Hanna and wife Carole Hanna; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be private with burial in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
