Carole A. (Smith) Johns

FAWN GROVE- Carole A. (Smith) Johns, 67, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Jeffrey F. Johns to whom she was married 46 years. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 6PM on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Red Lion Bible Church, 105 Springvale Rd., Red Lion, with Pastor Steve Schmuck officiating. A gathering of friends and sharing of memories will follow. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born November 14, 1950 in Baltimore, Carole was a daughter of the late Meredith and Dorothy (Kintz) Smith. Carole enjoyed painting, movies, murder mystery TV shows and gardening. However, her favorite pass time was spending time and making memories with her family. Carole devoted her life to her family and was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who were touched by her loving spirit, but will remain in their hearts forever. In addition to her husband Jeffrey, Carole is survived by two sons, Christopher Johns and his wife Kristen of Cary, NC, and Todd Johns and his wife Elke of Felton; four grandchildren, Keegan, Chloe, Wyatt and Katheryn; a brother, Randy Smith and his wife Peggy of Millville, DE; a sister-in-law Sheila Smith of Monkton Maryland, and a bother-in-law Earl Pumphrey of Chestertown, Maryland. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles and two sisters, Dianne and Doris.
