Carol Lynn (Taylor) Zeiders

YORK – Carol Lynn (Taylor) Zeiders, 72, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Robert H. Zeiders to whom she was married for 50 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A visitation will be held from 3-4:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in Donegal Cemetery, Westmoreland County. Mrs. Zeiders was born on November 15, 1942 in McKeesport, PA a daughter of the late Ellwood W. and Julia Rose (McLean) Taylor. She attended California State Teacher’s College. Mrs. Zeiders had volunteered with Hospice of York and was a former Central York School Board member from 1985-2007. Carol Lynn was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Zeiders is survived by three sons, Robert T. Zeiders, David H. and wife Samantha Zeiders, and Daniel W. and wife Christie Zeiders all of York; four grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Quentin, and Zoey; a brother, Ellwood W. Taylor, Jr. and wife Beverly of Oakmont, PA; and a sister, Judith and husband Robert Horensky of Middleton, DE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York County SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406. Cemetery: Burial service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 in Donegal Cemetery, Westmoreland County.
