Carol L. (Johnston, Dye) Sinclair

FELTON-Carol L. (Johnston, Dye) Sinclair, 61, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of N. Wayne Sinclair to whom she shared 34 years of marriage. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held 1-2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the request of the family. Mrs. Sinclair was born October 14, 1949 in Olean, NY, a daughter of the late Lloyd Johnston and Emma Fisk Johnston Schreppel. She was a graduate of Solanco High School, Lancaster; and continued her education at Lancaster General Hospital, where she received her Nursing License in 1967. Carol worked as a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse for 10 years in Lancaster before becoming a Geriatrics Nurse in Maryland for over 20 years. She enjoyed staying at Raystown Lake and spending time on the lake on her Pontoon Boat with family and friends. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by a son, Jonathan Wayne Sinclair and partner, Colleen Strayer of Windsor; two daughters, Denise Fuhrman and husband, Brian of York, and Erica Herbst and husband, Rick of Red Lion; three grandchildren, Natalie and Alex Fuhrman, and Madison Herbst; three sisters, Nancy Swift and husband, Ward of Leola, Ann Collins of Willow Street, PA, and Barbara Charles and husband, John of Conestoga; several nieces and nephews; and her dog Molly. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Lloyd Johnston.
