Carol L. Drouncheck

POTTSVILLE- Carol L. Drouncheck 57, of Harrisburg, died Friday morning at her home. Mrs. Drouncheck was born in Pottsville July 1, 1952, the daughter of the late Albert and Corine "Webber" Makely. She graduated from Pottsville Area High School. Mrs. Drouncheck was a sales representative for Lehigh Gas. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. Preceding Carol in death inaddition to her parents were two brothers, Leonard and twin brother David Makely. Surviving Carol are: her husband Michael A. Drouncheck, Harrisburg; a step-mother Erlinda P. Rodriquez,Fresno, CA; a daughter Lori A. Hopko, Harrisburg; a son Matthew D. Drouncheck, Pottsville; two step sons Mark, Pottsville, M/Sgt U.S. Marines Eric, and wife Alicia Drouncheck, Okinawa, Japan; three step grandchildren; three sisters Patricia Ryan, Saint Clair, Constance, wife of David Hale, Saint Clair, Kathleen Makely, Fresno, CA; step-sisters Cyntha L. Makely, Patricia A. Larson, Kathleen Comstock, all of Fresno, CA; three brothers, Paul, husband of Mary Makely, Saint Clair, Robert, husband of Denise Makely, Freeland, Francis Makely, Fresno, CA; step-brothers Michael and Richard Makely, Fresno, CA, and several nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Our Lady of Calvary Chapel, Hillside, Pottsville, the Rev Anthony Drouncheck, her brother-in-law, officiating. Framily and friends may call at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Tuesday at the chapel from 9:30 A.M. until time of service. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances to be made to the American Cancer Society,16 North Fourth Street, Minersville, PA 17954.
