DALLASTOWN- Carol J. (Clee) Starr, 80, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of Rev. Richard B. Starr. The couple was married September 22, 1967 and enjoyed 49 years together. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with The Reverend Thomas E. McKee officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born October 13, 1936 in Williamstown, NJ, Carol was a daughter of the late William and Leona Bell (Thompson) Clee. She was the adopted mother to more people than one could count, at least 40 of whom she cared for in her home. Carol was a people person with a heart of gold and a generous, caring spirit. She kept a simplistic and humble life for herself so that she could better care for those around her. Lee Starr of NC; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a brother, David Clee of NJ; numerous nieces and nephews, and many extended family and friends. Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Clee, Sr., and a sister, Donnis Young. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church Starview, 4600 N. Sherman St. Ext., Mt. Wolf, PA 17347.
