YORK, PA- Carol D. (Stratmoen) “Caryl Dee” Holt, 77, succumbed by the effects of the Parkinson's disease on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Manor Care North, York, PA. She was the wife of the late James G. Holt of Knoxville, TN, who died on March 5, 2014. The couple had been married for 58 years. A funeral service we be held at 11:30 a.m. on February 12, 2016 at the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 with interment to follow. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on May 6, 1937 in Dawson, MN, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Esther (Larson) Stratmoen. Carol was a self employed beautician and a District Director for Viviane Woodard cosmetics. Mrs. Holt was a member of First Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. Carol was also a member of the American Business Women’s Association, the Welcome Wagon in Belview, MN and the Dixie Derby Square Dance Club and the Newcomers Club, both in Knoxville. Mrs. Holt is survived by two sons, Robin Holt of New Hope, MN and Patrick Holt of New Ulm, MN; two daughters, Kim Garcia and her husband, Marty of Dover, PA and Shannon Bates of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren, James and his wife, Kristie, Stephanie and her husband, Adam, Michelle, Hunter, Gretchen and Matthew; one great granddaughter, Aubree; and one brother, Noel Stratmoen and his wife, Lois of Northfield, MN. She was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Stratmoen; and three sisters, Angie Oman, Mae Dahl and Lee Dahl.
