LARKSVILLE-Carol Ann Loucks, 55, of Larksville passed away on April 22, 2010 at the VNA Hospice Care Unit at the Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Carol developed many close friendships as a result of this disease. Her positive attitude and fighting spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her. Born in Wilkes-Barre on November 4, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (Witkowski) Walsh of Ashley. She was a graduate of Hanover Area High School, class of 1972. Carol worked in banking for many years and later on became a certified massage therapist. Surviving, in addition to her loving husband of 33 years, David, are her daughters, Erin and Amanda, both at home, whom she loved very dearly; her brother Ralph Walsh and his wife, Stacia of Naples, Fl; sisters-in-law Janice Loucks and June DeSalvo of Wilkes-Barre; niece Kirby DeSalvo; nephews, Dan Walsh and Justin DeSalvo; many dear and close cousins and friends. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Carol's life will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Living Hope Bible Church, 35 S. Main St. Plains, PA, with the Pastor Mark DeSilva as celebrant. Interment will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Fund, 382 Pierce St. Kingston, PA 18704, or the American Cancer Society.
