Carol Ann Stauffer

Carol Ann Stauffer, 75, died on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at York Hospital from COVID-19. She was the companion of 47 years to Rose E. Campise. A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York with the Reverend Eddie D.D. Miller officiating. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born on December 25, 1946 in York, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Stauffer, Sr. and Carolyn (Henry) Sellers. She was a 1964 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and received an Associates Degree from York College. Carol was a receptionist for York Optical, YWCA and Audio Professional over the years. Carol was a former member of Codorus Church of the Brethren and a member of the York Kennel Club. She had a love for squirrels, dogs, cats and birds and also enjoyed making ceramics with her mother. Along with her companion, Rose, Carol is survived by two nephews, Craig Stauffer of Parkton, MD and Steve Stauffer and his wife, Heather of Dallastown; three great nephews, Brennan Stauffer of York, Zachary Stauffer of Dallastown and Daniel Stauffer of Dallastown; best childhood friends, Iris and Bill Horn of Red Lion; and adopted niece and nephews, Tammy, Bill and Brandon. She was preceded in death by her brother, Duane Stauffer; sister in law, Avie Stauffer; and step brothers, Joseph Stauffer, Jr. and Connie Stauffer.
