Carlton Wesley Lizotte

NEW CUMBERLAND- Carlton Wesley Lizotte, "Dad and Pappy", passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his home in Cumberland, P.A. and now joins his LORD Jesus Christ, his dedicated and loving wife Shirley of 49 years and his son Donnie whose passing preceded him. Carlton was born on April 20, 1935 in Errol, New Hampshire to the late Teles and Jenny Lizotte. Carlton spent his early years on a beautiful 200 acre farm in Errol with his nine brothers and sisters. He loved the time he spent as a lumberjack and logger and always loved the mountains. We were so proud of Dad when he went back to school in 1988 to receive his High School Diploma. Carlton proudly served his country in Navy military service with honor, he served in the US Navy between 1953-1960. He often reflected that this service gave him some of the best memories as it "got him out of that little small town." Carlton was employed by Campbell Chain where he retired after 30 years. He also worked 15 of those years as a long distance truck driver. After retirement he went to work at Rabbit Transit for eight years. He loved his job helping those in need and doing something good for those in need. Carlton loved to read and learn and spend time with family. He especially loved watching Animal Planet. We loved teasing him about watching animal shows. His favorite trip was our trip to Alaska hoping to see lots of wild animals and all we saw was a "skinny fox", and then later, thank the LORD, we saw a mama bear with two cubs! Dad loved it. Carlton attended church in his early years in Manchester, P.A. where he was introduced to Jesus and baptized by our special Pastor, David Evangelista. Carlton drove the church bus and wore his ten gallon hat. Carlton is survived by his wife Susan Lizotte (Moyer) and his four children, daughter Shirley Jean Williams (Lizotte) and husband Alan of Charlotte, N.C. and sons, Carl Wesley Lizotte and wife Pat of Craley, P.A., Kirt Kenny and wife Michelle of Greencastle, P.A., Keith Kenny and wife Cindy of Newport, V.T. Lizotte of Red Lion, PA, Annabelle Kenny of Chambersburg, PA, William Kenny of Greencastle, PA and Peyton Lizotte of Craley, PA.
