Carl W. 'Mick' Billet, Sr

Red Lion—Carl W. “Mick” Billet, Sr., 81, died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Sara (Spangler) Billet to whom he was married for 63 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Arlington Evangelical Community Church, 585 Lombard Rd, Red Lion with his pastor, the Rev. Sterling Trimmer, Jr and the Rev. Don Wagner officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-11 AM, Thursday at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born October 3, 1932 in York, he was the son of the late George and Ruth (Hess) Billet. His education began in a one room school house in Ore Valley. Later he attended Dallastown High School. In 1958 he started his own business, Billet’s Garage. He loved his work, especially building motors for dirt track racing. He enjoyed racing for many years with his sons and grandsons. In addition to his wife, Mr. Billet is also survived by three daughters, Carla Reinecker and husband, Greg, Cindy Rohrbaugh and husband, Phil and Becky Bauknight and husband, Dean; three sons, Kevin Billet and wife, Cindy, Michael Billet and wife, Gina and Mark Billet and wife, Kristyn; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 brothers. He was preceded in death by a son, Carl Billet, Jr., 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
