MOUNTAIN TOP-Carl Lee Daubert Sr. passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, after a lengthy stretch of illnesses. Carl was the owner/operator of a gas station at Albert's Corners in the early ‘70's . He was the owner/operator of Northeast Reel. Carl drove school buses and worked for Jack Williams Tire and Auto. He loved camping and selling campers and also enjoyed fishing. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Daubert; brother Melvin Daubert, Jr.; mother Margaret Smith Daubert Paulewicz; step father Joseph Paulewicz, and stepson, Scott Koonrad. Surviving are his wife, Esther (Klinges) Koonrad-Daubert; sisters, Janet Thomas, Slocum; Nancy Wenner, Conyngham; brothers Allen Daubert and Joseph Paulewicz and their spouses, all of Nuangola. Also surviving are his son, Carl Daubert, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Maryland; grandchildren Amy and Amanda; his daughter, Debbie Boyer and husband Frank, Nuangola; grandsons Richard, Christopher and Michael. Carl's stepchildren and their spouses are James Koonrad and Joanne Pearson; Kenneth Koonrad, William Koonrad, Randy and Ruthanne Koonrad, all of Ashley; Esther and David Burcicki, Wilkes-Barre; Anthony and Donna Koonrad, Pittston; Mary and John Kramer, Parsons; Beth and Wes Mullen, Mountain Top and several nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. Dominick and Bethany Koonrad are step-grandchildren being raised by Carl and Esther. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
