Carl Herbert Kline

YORK/SEVEN VALLEYS- Carl Herbert Kline, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 8 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Caroline L. (Redding) Kline, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. York, with his pastor the Reverend Margareta Breden officiating. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday and 1-2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at St. Paul Wolf's Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Kline was born May 8, 1930 in York, a son of the late Charles and Callie (Godfrey) Kline. Mr. Kline was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of Friedensaal Evangelical Lutheran Church, Seven Valleys. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII and the Korean War. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company where he was employed 29 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and hunting. In addition to his wife, Mr. Kline is survived by three children, Margaret A. Keener and her husband, Galen Keener and their children Brian Keener and Brent Keener. Cordelia L. Wolfe and her husband, Tom Wolfe and their children Jennifer Bellman and Judd Wolfe. Carl H. Kline, Jr. and his wife, Michele and his children Angela Kline and Jesse Kline; and 4 great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Stella, Wesley and Maxwell; and one brother, Richard R. Kline of Dover; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
