Carl E. Daugherty

DALLASTOWN- Carl E. Daugherty, 79, passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at his residence. He was the husband of the Late Evelyn L. (Godfrey) Daugherty and the late Romaine L. (Keeny) Daugherty. A celebration of life service will be held at 11AM Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Road, Loganville, with his pastor, Pastor Eric Ritenour officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00AM Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Codorus Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Mr. Daugherty was born on April 12, 1930, in York, to the late Eli S. and Grace E. (Leader) Daugherty, Sr., he retired from York International Inc. in 1992. Mr. Daugherty was a lifelong member at Codorus Church of the Brethren. He was a member with AARP, Loganville Fire Company, and a former member of AGI Farm Choice. He was an avid hunter for years. Mr. Daugherty is survived by a son, Timothy and his wife Shirley Daugherty of Dallastown; a step-son, Michael Weaver of York; a step-daughter, Sally Kohr of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Melissa and her husband Jason Joines of Felton, Martin and his wife Kim Daugherty of Felton, Heather Kohr of FL., Amber Kohr of Harrisburg, and Matthew Weaver of York; three great grandchildren, Colbi Daugherty, Dakota Joines, and Mikayla Joines; two brothers, George Daugherty and Clair Daugherty; a sister Lois Welty; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Eli S. Daugherty, Jr., Marlin, Richard, and James Daugherty; and a son, Lonnie E. Daugherty.
