Carl A. Litz

LOCK HAVEN - Carl A. Litz, age 82 passed away at Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009. He was born in Lock Haven on Feb. 4, 1927, son of the late Clyde A. and Margaret (Fogleman) Litz. Carl worked at the Avco Lycoming Co. ( now Textron Lycoming) for over 35 years before retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Mill Hall United Methodist Church, Hope Hose Fire Co. #2, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4298 where he served as Junior Past Worthy President. Surviving is a step-daughter: Donna (Leroy) Gower and a step daughter-in-law: Yvonne Rine, both of Mill Hall. Also surviving are grandchildren: Stephen, Jeffrey, Jodie, and Michelle, nine great grandchildren, and a great great grandson: Talon and two brothers: Robert Litz of Lock Haven and Edwin (Florence) Litz of Dubois. He was preceded in death by his wife: Margaret "Peggy" Litz on June 15, 2008, stepson: Larry Rine and a granddaughter: Belinda. Funeral services will be held at the Helt Funeral chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 with Pastor Valerie M. Delooze officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until service time. Memorials are requested to the Mill Hall United Methodist Church.
