Cannon Joseph Goebeler

YORK - Cannon Joseph Goebeler, 3 months, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He was the son of Dan and Heather (Gettys) Goebeler. A celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 14, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. Dexter Lanctot officiating. Visitations will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Cannon enjoyed watching his toy birds, hearing his music, and listening to stories that his loved ones told to him. He was given an impossible challenge from the start, but his fighting spirit and strength allowed him to overcome the odds time and time again. Without ever leaving the hospital, Cannon touched the hearts of so many people everywhere. In addition to his parents Cannon is survived by a sister, Nittany Goebeler at home; paternal grandparents, Thomas Goebeler and his wife Becky of New Freedom; maternal grandparents, Rick Gettys and his wife Debra of York; two Uncles; four Aunts; and four Cousins.
