Candace J. (Hildebrand) Ellis

York-- Candace "Candy" J. (Hildebrand) Ellis, 62, passed peacefully Friday, November 7, 2008 at her home. She was the wife of the late John J. Ellis. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, INC., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, her pastor the Rev. Richard Jorgensen Jr. will be officiating. Viewings will be held 7- 9:00 PM, Monday and 9:30- 10:30 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born October 27, 1946 in York, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Rosena (Shorb) Hildebrand. She was employed as a certified pharmacy technician at CVS on Edgewood Road. Prior to becoming a pharmacy tech, Mrs. Ellis assisted her husband John in the restaurant business. A West York Area High School graduate, she was also a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York. Mrs. Ellis is survived by two daughters, Stacie Burnside and her husband Damian of York and Kim Palmer and her husband Andy of Greensburg, PA; a son Jamie Ellis and his wife Jill of York; seven grandchildren; a brother, Jeffrey Hildebrand of York; and a sister in law, Susan Ellis of East Berlin.
