Caitlin M. Riddle

SPRING GROVE- Caitlin M. (Rizzardo) Riddle, 35, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 with her family by her side. She was the wife of Chad A. Riddle. The couple celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary on July 11, 2024. 

 A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenenth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 9:30 -11 a.m. Certified Celebrant Allison Duke will be officiating at the service.

 Caitlin was born in York on June 22, 1989, a daughter of David J. and Laurie A. (Glatfelter) Rizzardo of Jacobus. She was a kindergarten teacher for the past 12 years, most recently at West Manheim Elementary School in the Southwestern School District. 

 Caitlin enjoyed running, especially with her father. She enjoyed going to musicals on Broadway with her mother. She enjoyed beating her husband in miniature golf every year at the beach. She currently holds the record for pole vaulting at Dallastown High School where she graduated in 2007. She was also a three-time conference champion at York College in pole vaulting, and received her Master’s Degree in Education at Wilkes College. She had a love for animals and was known for rescuing cats. She was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Most of all she was a great and devoted mother. 

 Along with her husband and parents, Caitlin leaves her four-year-old son, Aaron M. Riddle; a brother, Jared D. Rizzardo of Jacobus and a grandmother, Jean H. Glatfelter. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gordon R. Glatfelter and her grandparents Ernest and Genevieve Rizzardo.
