Cade Michael Gold, our 20 year gift, joined his Mamaw in heaven on Friday, March 16th. Cade was the beloved son of Abby & Shawn and big brother to Carsyn, with whom he shared the same birthday (January 15) and so much more. The entire family is absolutely heart broken by this loss, however; the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, teammates and anyone that knew Cade has been unbelievable and such a comfort during this difficult time. Cade’s number one priority was his family and we will forever cherish the time we had with him. While at Dallastown High School (Class of 2016) Cade was President of the National Honor Society, a first team All-Conference quarterback and team captain for two league championship football teams, received the Pennsylvania Mini Maxwell Award for athletic and academic achievement, was a league champ and team captain in lacrosse and numerous other achievements and acts of humility and kindness that are only carried in peoples’ hearts, not the headlines. He enjoyed all things that challenged him mentally and physically. He was an avid runner and enjoyed golfing, biking, kayaking, and tennis. He was attending Washington & Lee University (VA) as a pre-med major and was the epitome for their core principles of honor, trust and integrity. While at W&L, he played football and was the VP of the pre-med club. A public memorial for Cade will be held on Saturday, March 24th beginning at 10:00 am at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion. There will be an opportunity during the service for anyone that wants to speak about their experiences with Cade. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dallastown Area Educational Foundation, c/o Ashley Spector, 700 New School Rd., Dallastown, PA 17313 for the Cade Gold Memorial Scholarship to benefit Dallastown Football and Lacrosse players. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
