C. Robert Miller

WINDSOR - C. Robert Miller, 82, passed away on Monday, December 05, 2011 at Dallastown Nursing Center. He was the husband of Audrey E. (Arnold) Miller. The couple wed on May 19, 1951 and spent over 60 years together. A celebration of life tribute service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl, Red Lion with his Pastor, the Reverend William Baral officiating. A viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Mr. Miller was born on May 10, 1929 in Delroy, a son of the late Ernest W. and Beula O. (Dunnick) Miller. Bob was a 1946 graduate of Red Lion High School. He worked for over 20 years as a machinist for Caterpillar, Inc. until his retirement in 1994. He was also a farmer, electrician by trade and a bus driver. Mr. Miller was a member of Canadochly Evangelical & Reformed Church. He served our country as a Signal Corpsman in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Miller was very innovative and built several items, including a log splitter and a snow blower. Bob enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, motorcycles and playing cards. He was a member of the Conservation Society of York Co., Inc., York Masonic Lodge #266 and the Pigeon Hills and Canadochly Snowmobile Clubs. Along with his wife, Audrey, Bob leaves a daughter, Jane Rohrbaugh and her husband, Ed of Spry; two sons, Raymond Miller and his wife, Jane of Dover and Ronald Miller and his wife, Deborah of Red Lion; six grandchildren; five step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Ernest L. Miller and his wife, Helen of York; two nieces and six nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline E. Brown and Ruth M. Test; and two nephews.
